About Us

The founding of Dove’s Landing did not happen overnight. Two years ago, the Lord put on our (Katy Orr-Dove and Christina Loy) hearts that He was going to move in a mighty way on the land. At the time, we did not know how He was going to move; we only knew for certain that He would. We felt led to begin praying over the land. One beautiful spring evening, we went out among the orchards and fields and sat in the grass at the edge of the property. Together we prayed and invited the Lord to come claim the land; to use it for His Glory and His purpose. In the waiting, we continued to pray and grow in our faith. Trusting in His perfect timing.
In August of 2021, Christina received a word from God to give to Katy. That word was, “It Begins With Worship. Start Now.” When God says to move we, in our obedience, move. Katy quickly pulled together a small worship team from among the staff. The Lord had blessed us with so many musically talented coworkers!

On August 22, 2021, we held our first worship and prayer event. It was made up of a small group of coworkers and friends. The weather was perfect and the evening sky was absolutely gorgeous. We fellowshipped around a firepit on the hill of Katy and Don’s property. It was simple and authentic. Toward the end of the evening, as our pastor finished praying we looked up and saw a bright, complete rainbow over us. A rainbow without rain! We knew that it was the Lord giving us His blessing for being obedient.
A dove is often used to represent Holy Spirit and is also the last name of Katy and Don who host the event on their property. It was fitting that the event be named Dove’s Landing. Every week Dove’s Landing is growing with like-minded believers from many different churches. We now know that God was building Dove’s Landing to be a landing place where we can bring our prayers, our worship, our praise to the Lord. Where we can fellowship with other like-minded believers and be refreshed for the week ahead. Dove’s Landing is a place where we can re-establish the altar of praise and worship for the Lord to change the Nations.
